![]() ![]() There are cons to a VM router like it is dependent on the reliability of the host hardware and host OS. I really wish I could help with specifics on how to set up your networking am not familiar with Virtual box. I highly encourage you to play around with a PFsense VM. Driver support for wifi cards isn't always there and it is usually just way easier to use an old router in bridge or AP mode which is what I do. ![]() I will have to echo some others that PFsense isn't really that good with wifi yet. I use PFsense in a VM on ESXI and it works just fine. ![]() PFsense really doesn't care if it is on bare metal or not.you install it on almost anything for the most part. I will look into making my own small compact system for pfsense but thank you to everyone that has helped me here. Thanks to everyone replying to the thread i want to say that this thread is now useless, and replaying i am but The Unifi AP lite in $ AUS is over $100 which i dont have the money. ![]()
